Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough

CCYD has not stopped hustling in June!

At our monthly meeting on June 14, we finished off the evening with a little bit of phone banking. The Executive Committee was hard at work phoning local residents to ask them to donate their time to the party. Thanks, everyone!

On June 16, Jill Schiller officially opened up her campaign headquarters on Eastern Avenue in Columbia-Tusculum and a few members stopped by to check out her new space. Stop in some time and pick up a shirt or a yard sign to show your support for Jill!

On June 21st, members headed out to Harmony Hill Winery for drinks and snacks in support of the Clermont County Democratic Party.

Cincinnati Pride was on June 23, and members of CCYD joined up with Jill Schiller's campaign to march in the parade, including an appearance by our favorite special ass.

Keep up the great work, everyone! There is so much more to come!

A busy May for CCYD

May was a busy month for the Clermont County Young Democrats group!

Early in May, members attended a Pre-Primary Rally at the MadTree taproom in Oakley to support District 2 candidates and our neighbors in Hamilton County. Jill Schiller (candidate, OH-2) and Aftab Pureval (candidate, OH-1) were also in attendance.

As everyone knows, May 8 was primary election day in Ohio. Full Clermont County election results are available here. Congrats to all of our local candidates on their primary victories!  Jill Schiller will be the Democratic candidate for Ohio District 2 in the House of Representatives against incumbent Brad Wenstrup.

On May 17, CCYD joined the Clermont County Democrats for a celebration of the local primary winners at Little Miami Brewing Company in Milford. The meeting was well-attended by local candidates and Ohio Democratic Party chairman David Pepper. Tim Hogan graciously sponsored the Young Dems to join the party. Thanks, Tim!

The Frontier Days parade kicked off in Milford on May 31, and the CCYD was proud to walk in the parade to support the "blue wave"! A great crowd showed up to represent the group, including a brand new mascot courtesy of the Flick family!

What a great turnout!

What a great turnout!

And last, but not least, the CCYD were proud to add several new members to brand new positions in May! Nadia Jeelani was appointed Parliamentarian by President Ashley Patton at the May meeting. The group also added Dannielle Browne as Website Manager and Destany May as Liaison for External Events. Welcome aboard, everyone!
